The only way you can do seeding like that is to set up something private possibly where we have a certain number of people that are in the tournament. We keep records for those people for a certain amount of time then have that tournament after the time frame is over. It would have to be a private thing.
I think the seedings would be a legit idea for not only singles but doubles. Obviously for those who commit and attend regularly will be rewarded (if they win of coarse but for those who don’t we enjoy your company). Anyway, I like the idea and its merely a matter of tracking wins and losses and data processing, but that’s Chris’s decision. With the approach of making this more legit (making seeding’s getting company sponsorship and what not) it would arouse more attention and possibly more commitment from prospective players to be honest. Newcomers, just as Rookies in any sport need to prove themselves. When I first started, I don’t think anyone stood a chance against me in beer pong. I honestly felt like the team “famous”. When I left for Mexico for six months, YALL BECAME BAD ASS BEER PONG players. Props to you and now its very difficult to get a piece of the prize. I like the competition and hope this grows to what we all know it can be. I’ll post my rankings shortly.

Shay I don’t think it would need to be a private thing, I agree with sven the people who are loyal and determined will make sure they come out and rank at a high enough seed. Those who don’t, will either catch on, be part of a huge upset, or just come out for the good time and cheap booze.
Ya that could work too. I just said the private thing so we could have a true seeding without newcomers feeling like they got the shaft. Only problem with that is if people show up EVERY time and never finish first but consistently decent would be ahead of people that don’t show up quite as much and finish first sometimes. You would have to come up with a system that rewards quality of play instead of quantity.

Yay!! I am so glad you are going for the real competition!! That really is my favorite one and the fact that I judge it makes it better. Wednesday it totally went to Brett of the Vagooter Killaz…you cannot argue that. Esp if you were out in the parking lot at 2:15 watching him run around without a shirt on…too funny.

The only way you can do seeding like that is to set up something private possibly where we have a certain number of people that are in the tournament. We keep records for those people for a certain amount of time then have that tournament after the time frame is over. It would have to be a private thing.

I think the seedings would be a legit idea for not only singles but doubles. Obviously for those who commit and attend regularly will be rewarded (if they win of coarse but for those who don’t we enjoy your company). Anyway, I like the idea and its merely a matter of tracking wins and losses and data processing, but that’s Chris’s decision. With the approach of making this more legit (making seeding’s getting company sponsorship and what not) it would arouse more attention and possibly more commitment from prospective players to be honest. Newcomers, just as Rookies in any sport need to prove themselves. When I first started, I don’t think anyone stood a chance against me in beer pong. I honestly felt like the team “famous”. When I left for Mexico for six months, YALL BECAME BAD ASS BEER PONG players. Props to you and now its very difficult to get a piece of the prize. I like the competition and hope this grows to what we all know it can be. I’ll post my rankings shortly.
I am only doing a top six. Ten just got way too crazy. I am sure I am still way off, but my number one spot is that because I have seen some guys from out state during last year’s 128 team doubles tourney that were top notch.

Shay I don’t think it would need to be a private thing, I agree with sven the people who are loyal and determined will make sure they come out and rank at a high enough seed. Those who don’t, will either catch on, be part of a huge upset, or just come out for the good time and cheap booze.
Ya that could work too. I just said the private thing so we could have a true seeding without newcomers feeling like they got the shaft. Only problem with that is if people show up EVERY time and never finish first but consistently decent would be ahead of people that don’t show up quite as much and finish first sometimes. You would have to come up with a system that rewards quality of play instead of quantity.
Well, guess we are starting an actual league and thats what I have been hoping to do!
